Your room's radio
Your room can play a web radio: everyone listens at the same time, with a graphic that moves to the beat of the music.
1Find the stream address
You need the address of the audio stream, not the radio's website. It starts with https:// and often ends with .mp3, .aac or /stream.
Search for “radio name + stream” on the internet, or in a radio directory such as radio-browser.info.
2Add the radio to your room
Open “Edit room” (the gear in “My rooms”), or click your room's picture then “Edit” on the Web radio line. Paste the address and give the radio a name.
3Test
Click “Test”: the radio plays for 5 seconds. Zetboo also tells you whether the graphic will be able to follow the music.
Why the graphic doesn't always move
For the graphic to follow the music, the radio must give the browser its permission (called “CORS”). Many radios give it, others don't. Without this permission, the radio plays normally, just without the graphic.
The same radio often has several addresses. If one doesn't allow the graphic, try another: a different quality or a different server.
Common problems
“This link starts with http://”
The site is secure: you need the https:// address. Many radios have both.
“Unable to play this radio”
It may be the website's address and not the stream's, or the radio is down. Open the address in a new tab: you should hear the music directly.
.m3u8 links
HLS streams (.m3u8) are not supported yet. .m3u and .pls playlists work: Zetboo finds the stream in them.
